BocoxTM for erectile dysfunction

Bocox TM is an off label use of botulinum toxin A for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. The treatment involves injecting 100 units of botulinum toxin A into the erectile tissue of the penis. This leads to relaxation of the vascular wall muscles of the arteries of the penis, resulting in better blood flow and erection. The treatment also leads to a lengthening of the penis by approx. 1 cm in the flaccid state.

BocoxTM-study

Intracavernosal injection of botulinum toxin (50 and 100 units) for the treatment of vasculogenic erectile dysfunction: Randomised controlled trial.

 

This study included only patients with pre-existing conditions (diabetes, hypertension, etc.) who suffered from severe erectile dysfunction and did not respond to treatment with Viagra/Cialis. Therefore, the success rate of 40% of patients who were able to have “normal” sex again is to be interpreted as very high.

Good to know

The BocoxTM treatment can also be performed in combination with the Priapus-Shot (PRP). We then refer to this as “P-Shot 100”.
