How the P-Shot^® treatment for penile curvature (Peyronie’s disease) works

P-Shot^® can be performed on an outpatient basis and without particular pre- and post-treatment in our practice in Zurich. In an extensive consultation with Dr Ledermann, you will be informed in detail about the treatment.

P-Shot^® is based on the use of so-called platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which serves as the procedure’s primary substance. The PRP is obtained from a small blood sample taken from your vein. The blood is then cleaned and centrifuged in a special process.

Once the PRP concentrate is prepared, a local anaesthetic (anaesthetic cream/penile block) is administered. Next, the PRP is injected into the appropriate parts of the treatment area. RPR’s regeneration and growth factors can target the local hardening in the penile connective tissue causally.
